✨Our Disney Love Story
They say love is the greatest adventure—and for us, many of our favorite adventures have been wrapped in Disney magic. From our first trips together to watching the joy on our kids’ and grandkids’ faces, Disney has been more than a destination—it’s been a thread woven through our family story.
We met back in middle school in Richland, Washington, where our mothers were the best of friends. A few years later, in 1987, when Eric graduated high school, our moms coordinated a Walt Disney World vacation—together. It was on that trip that Eric finally realized I was alive. We shared our very first kiss on Space Mountain (back when you still could!).
Five years later, after a winding path of “on and off” moments that could fill their own storybook, we were married. Six years after that, Eric landed a finance management role at what was then Disney’s MGM Studios. We packed up and moved across the country, raising our kids in the shadow of Cinderella’s Castle.
After six joyful years, I was accepted to law school in Virginia. What we thought would be a three-year adventure turned into 21 years and five states before we finally made our way back.
In February of 2025, we returned—not just as a couple, but with our grown kids and grandchildren. We’ve settled in Saint Cloud, less than an hour away. Planting our feet back in central Florida feels natural, like coming full circle.
For us, Home to Holiday is more than a house. It’s our way of sharing the joy and wonder we’ve carried for decades with other families searching for a little magic of their own.
✨Meet Eric
Eric is the steady anchor of our family—and we’re all better for it. He’s the one who keeps the numbers straight and the big picture in focus. For nearly 35 years, he’s worked as a financial manager with companies like Westinghouse, Disney, and GE, navigating industries from aviation to entertainment, power to digital products, and even government contracting. After 21 years with GE, he now works remotely from home, which gives him more time for family, hosting, and, of course, Disney adventures.
But don’t let the “numbers guy” label fool you—Eric’s no bore. He can be silly with the grandkids, he loves to hike, ski, and be outdoors, and he is a master of the grill and smoker. (Seriously–you can’t compete with his Brisket or Chili!)
He’ll still climb into a coaster seat now and then, but he’s just as happy slowing down to savor an Epcot Food & Wine booth, catch a Garden Rocks concert, or wander the nature trails of Animal Kingdom. His perfect day? A balance of adventure and relaxation, with plenty of good food, live music, and maybe a little magic sprinkled in.
✨Meet Heidi
I’m Heidi—the dreamer, detail-maker, and storyteller behind Home to Holiday. By day, I’m an estate planning attorney and the owner of Lifeguarding Legacies, PLLC, where I help families in Arizona and Florida with wills, trusts, and probate. I’m also an author and a lifelong entrepreneur at heart, always brimming with ideas (sometimes more than Eric can handle!).
My heart beats for family, creativity, and making spaces where people feel truly welcome. Eric likes to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground, which works out well—because it gives me the freedom to keep my head in the clouds. He swears he gets nervous anytime I start a sentence with, “I have an idea…”—but he always helps me bring those ideas to life.
For me, this home is far more than a rental. It’s a canvas for hospitality. Every themed touch, every small surprise, and every cozy corner is designed with you and your family in mind.
If you need help during your stay, I’ll likely be your first call. But if I’m in client meetings, Eric is your steady backup—together, we’ve got you covered.
✨Introducing the Rest of the Family
Sharayah (and her Family)
Our daughter, Sharayah, has a gift for resilience and heart. Together with her husband, Chris, she’s raising two wonderful children who are now in 2nd and 3rd grade. They keep all of us laughing and are the reason so many of the little touches at Home to Holiday are designed with children in mind.
Sharayah recently earned her Paralegal Certificate and works part-time as a legal assistant with me. She balances family life with her professional growth, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way she keeps moving forward. Chris works as a service advisor, and he and Sharayah together make sure their kids have every opportunity to thrive.
Their son, Christopher, stays busy in just about everything—drawing, flag football, baseball, piano, singing, and acting. Their daughter, Cheyanne, is devoted to competition dance, following in the footsteps of her uncle Chesney with big dreams of becoming a ballerina (and maybe a realtor too—because she already loves looking at homes!).
Their joy at Disney, their delight in themed rooms, and their endless imagination remind us daily of why we want this home to be more than just a place to stay. They’ve inspired us to create a space where other families can experience the same kind of laughter and memories that fill our family story.
Chesney
Our son, Chesney, is the creative spirit in the family. From a young age, he had a flair for music, movement, and performance (even shocking the church when he dropped down on the stage into the worm at age 3)—and he’s turned that passion into a career as a professional dancer. He would tell you “…Everyone deserves the chance to FLY.” (And he does it well!
Now he travels the world aboard cruise ships and on stage. His love for storytelling through the arts is part of what inspired us to dream bigger with vacation rentals that feel magical, not just functional.
Chesney recently launched his own company, Crown & Quill, LLC, and is reimagining a nearby property that will be named the Practically Perfect House. While Home to Holiday focuses on calm, spa-like relaxation with a touch of magic, Practically Perfect House is his whimsical creation—full of vibrant character, themed spaces, and playful details that reflect his performer’s heart.
We couldn’t be prouder of the way Chesney is weaving his artistry into hospitality. Together, our family is creating a collection of spaces where guests can choose their own style of magic—whether it’s serene and restorative here at Home to Holiday, or lively and whimsical at Practically Perfect House.

From a kiss on Space Mountain, to raising children who found their own paths, to grandchildren whose laughter inspires every themed detail, our journey has always been about love, resilience, and shared memories.
We’ve poured that same heart into this home. It’s a place where families can slow down, connect, and find their own magic—whether that’s splashing in the pool, gathering around the table, or watching fireworks light up the night sky at Disney.
